1. “Manakir” is Haya Zaatry’s first solo song, released in 2013. It is a song that takes you on a journey with a young woman on a normal day, hearing her inner monologue and self-questioning how to find value in one’s life, wondering what can be said and what cannot, what is dictated by our society and to what extent we should abide by the society’s laws and norms, or simply break them. This version of the song was performed for Delia Sessions produced by Delia Arts Foundation in 2022. It was recorded live at Al Yakhour – Haifa – Palestine.
2. “Borders and Promises” is a song that tells the struggle of two Palestinian lovers or friends, who live under Israeli occupation, on different sides of the wall. One has access to the sea while the other doesn’t. One can move freely while the other one cannot. It is a song of hope that one day they could meet and hold hands in a free place. This version of the song was performed for Delia Sessions produced by Delia Arts Foundation in 2022. It was recorded live at Al Yakhour – Haifa – Palestine.
